Chilblains |

Poor circulation or a sensitivity to the cold can cause chilblains. Chilblains are patches of red, swollen skin that are itchy and painful, and usually occur on your toes or fingers. Sufferers have low immunity and live in very cold temperatures, yet interestingly, research shows that people can enhance their immunity against chilblains through various kinds of exercise.

If you do develop chilblains, consult your doctor immediately.
