Athlete’s Foot

Athlete’s foot is a fungal infection. It is typically caused by a mould that lives in living tissue, usually between the toes. It is more prevalent in males than in females and most athletes have this problem. Athlete’s foot causes itchiness, flakiness, pain and swelling on the skin. It can be spread through sharing shoes and the prevention is to keep the affected foot clean and as  dry as possible.
